No. The protective wrap allows to absorbent material inside to keep its shape. Cutting or opening the wrap would create a very messy situation, and that’s exactly what we’re trying to avoid. Simply take a booster out of the package and place it inside of the diaper, seam-side down.

We’ve designed our pads to be useful for all ages, genders, and or diaper size that needed extra absorbency. Our booster pads work best on size diapers 3 and up, however, if you are finding that the smaller diapers are leaking as well, try folding on of our pads in half.

Absorbent gelling material is an important component of all Sposie Diaper Booster Pads. It is used in the core of Sposie boosters to absorb wetness and keep your baby dry. Super-absorbent gel has been widely used since the 1980s in a variety of consumer products including diapers, feminine hygiene products and food packaging.

Our super-absorbent booster pads offer significant skin health benefits; by trapping wetness away from baby's skin, they help keep the skin drier and healthier.

When added to the core of Sposie pads, the super-absorbent gel is dry and granular, like sugar, but forms a gel as it absorbs liquid. In fact, it can retain up to 30 times its weight in liquid, locking it away to help prevent wetness from coming back to the surface of the diaper and help keep babies drier.

What if the gel touches my baby’s skin?

Occasionally, you may see small beads of gel from the diaper on baby’s skin or bedding, but the gel is non-toxic and will not harm the baby. Gel that appears on the skin can easily be removed by gently wiping your baby’s skin.

Like all materials and ingredients in our diapers, Sosie conducts tests to evaluate the safety of this ingredient – adding to the large body of evidence that shows the safety of this gel for baby’s skin.

Like most modern disposable diapers, Sposie Booster pads have a layered construction, which allows the transfer and distribution of liquid away from your baby to an absorbent core where the liquid is locked away to help keep them comfortable and dry.

The layers of a Sposie Booster include:

• Spunlace fabric: made from soft and breathable cloth-like fibers, this outer most layer is designed to keep your child comfortable while keeping the inner core intact. The unique embossed pattern helps distribute urine across the length of the product. (This should not be removed from the pad. Removal of this fabric will cause the inner pad to lose its effectiveness.) 
• Tissue paper: Also called a "top-sheet", this biodegradable layer helps to quickly transfer fluid down into the absorbent core
• Fluff-pulp: naturual cotton-like pulp aids in pulling moisture away from your child's skin and down into the diaper.
• Super-Absorbent Gel: The key component in our LEAKBLOCKER Technology. This is used to lock in wetness and keep your child dry.
